ABOUT THE OWNER Julie has a background in art and a degree in Interior Design. She worked professionally as a Commercial Interior Designer and Project Manager in the Baltimore/DC area for 17 years before starting her own painting business nearly 2 decades ago. She is mainly paints in residential homes but also has commercial customers that include: American Eagle / Aerie, Verizon, Shaler Library, Saint's John & Paul Parish, NV Homes, and Weaver Homes. We have a proven track record of making sure our customers are 100% satisfied by doing things the right way. We are not comparable to general contractors or base painters and there's a reason for that. We specialize in cabinetry fine finishing and have painted dozens of kitchens. We are detailed oriented, meticulous and we don't cut corners with the prep, priming and sanding. There are plenty of other contractors that will do that and their prices may reflect it. We know how much work goes into refinishing a kitchen and you need people you can trust to provide a durable, lasting finish. No two kitchens are the same; we do change our process depending on the substrate we are painting and the desired finished (open grain, closed grain, woods with stain migration, decorative finishes, etc.). We use top of the line industrial wood coatings imported from Italy for a silky smooth and extremely durable finish. The products are environmentally friendly with low VOC's. We are proud to say that we are always learning and growing to offer our customers the best. |
OUR PROCESS We've come up with a proven process to give our customers the best results. We have systems in place to be efficient and effective from the time we enter your home to the time we complete the project. We have an extensive prep process because we know our finish is only as good as our prep. We sand in-between each coat for the best adhesion and smoothest finish. We use a dustless hepa vacuum system to reduce dust. MONDAY We will arrive at 9 AM and remove all the doors and drawers and carefully transport everything back to our shop where they will be sprayed in our booth. We will protect your kitchen floors, counter, appliances, and surfaces. The cabinet frames will be thoroughly cleaned with a degreaser, rinsed and sanded. We will then begin taping and prepping for primer. TUESDAY We will arrive by 9 AM to clean the frames once more and begin to apply the the primer. Once the primer is dry, the frames will be sanded again and wiped down and ready for paint. WEDNESDAY We will arrive by 9 AM and apply the first coat of paint and the second coat if dry enough. THURSDAY We will arrive by 9 AM and lightly sand the boxes and apply the last coat of paint. If time allows we will begin cleaning up by removing the tape, protective papers and plastic. FRIDAY We may or may not need to come back Friday to finish. If a decorative finish is applied, We will apply a top coat on this day before cleaning up WEEK 2 & 3 (depending on size of kitchen) We will repeat the same process on the both sides of the doors and drawers at our workshop. Once they are dry, we will carefully protect them and transport them back to your house and install them.
